The Home Consultation is an opportunity to meet with a designer in your living space to explore your needs and style. Tailored to your specific interests, the Home Consultation may include:
Identification of a color palette
Initial furnishing ideas
Furniture placement recommendations
Discussion of area rugs
Potential woodworking and built-ins where applicable
Incorporation of pieces you already have and would still like to use
Duration: 1.5 hours Fee: $350
Once your initial Home Consultation is complete, we suggest a more specific Design Plan for you to keep and use. Whether you decide to execute the Plan all at once, or complete your project in stages, this Plan will help ensure that your rooms flow beautifully and are part of the larger “vision” we suggest for your home. Following the Plan will prevent purchasing mistakes from occurring and may save you money in the long run!
This plan summarizes our initial design recommendations and in addition may include:
A finished, to scale floor plan, for up to 2 rooms
A shopping list of specific furnishings to find - including recommended dimensions
Photos of furnishings / styles that we recommend to achieve your desired aesthetic
A sampling of fabrics, area rugs, and any other soft goods that would work well in your space
A budget for furnishings and improvements is discussed at this time and design costs are outlined should you decide to go forward using our services
Duration: 3 -4 hours of design time plus 1-2 hours presentation
Fee: $750
Selecting specific furnishings, accents and finishing touches can be overwhelming and time consuming. If you are unsure of where to look for materials and how to put everything together in a cohesive and beautiful way, we can help. You can be rest assured that all selections will flow within your space and work wonderfully together. One mistake can compromise the entire look. Clients interested in this option will be given an estimate of time needed to complete their project.
Design Time is billed at $175 per hour and does not include the cost of any goods purchased.
Once the project is estimated, we request a 50% design retainer to work against it.
Design hours are billed against the retainer. When the retainer has been depleted, payment of the remaining 50% is requested.
Clients receive a monthly accounting of hours used.
Should additional time be required, an estimate of that time will be provided.
This Design Service is individualized to your project and includes:
Selection and sourcing – with your approval – of all furnishings, case goods and design elements used in your room(s)
Specific paint and room color recommendations
Ordering, tracking, logistics, receiving, inspection of all goods
Co-ordination with trades for installation, where required (e.g. art & mirror hanging, woodworking design, etc.)
Designer attendance at installations for proper placement and styling
In-home visits / meetings as required
Please note: Throughout your project, we may recommend furnishings and other items that we sell in our our shop as well as items sourced from other vendors. When you purchase items from Inside Style, please be assured that we are giving you the very best pricing we can offer. In fact, we sell all of our furniture below MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price). Because of that, there is no additional discount on those items. However, where possible, we may be able to offer reduced pricing for large quantity purchases. Design fees are non-refundable.
Clients interested in this option are also given an estimate of time needed to complete their project. They may choose to purchase design advice by the hour while they execute their own project.
